As many of you know my mate, colleague of many years and all-round brilliant bloke, Scott, died last year, suddenly, inexplicably and at far too young an age of a heart-related issue. His partner, Charlotte and two young children, Isla and Leo are supporting British Heart Foundation to help raise funds and awareness so that research can prevent other people in the future from suffering a similar fate. BHF also do vital work in teaching the general public CPR, a skill that can help increase the chances of a person surviving a cardiac arrest out of hospital (currently 92% do not survive) I have no monetary target in mind for this fundraising and as is often pointed out, I do like a bit of running. However, if you have any spare money and would like to contribute, I will be running both the Bath Half and Manchester Marathon in my friend's honour, with something suitably Scott written on my bib.
