Liverpool Marathon 2018

On 20th May I will be running the Liverpool Marathon in aid of the British Heart Foundation, and in memory of our lovely friend Kev who died suddenly in December, aged just 49. As you can see from the main page, his amazing wife Ann, and sister Dawn, have already raised a huge amount and I would be delighted if my run could contribute to their existing total.

The fight to tackle heart disease was already something important to me, with my Dad having suffered two heart attacks in 2014 and having lost my uncle, Louis, suddenly at the age of 65 to heart disease - both of whom are much more experienced marathon runners than me!

In 2014, Kev and I ran together regularly as he trained for a 5km parkrun which we ran together that summer, times I really enjoyed with him. It seems fitting to run this marathon in his memory.

So - having trained through months of sleet and snow, I will be hoping it’s not too hot as I hit the streets of the city I loved living in until 2011, thinking of Kev as I go, and would be hugely grateful for any contribution you feel able to make to this very worthwhile cause.

Thank you so much for your donation,
Sarah
