As many as 12 apparently healthy young people die each week in the UK due to cardiac related illnesses, that's over 600 a year. These losses affect many families and so on the 12th June 2012 Jack Sanguinetti, Will Green, Tom Marsland, George Falck and George Gwatkin have decided to help by raising money for the Craig Hodgkinson Trust, in association with the British Heart Foundation.
Jack, Will, Tom and the two Georges will complete the Three Peaks Challenge - Climbing the three highest mountains of England, Scotland and Wales… all in under 20 hours. The challenge is usually completed in 24 and will be a major task requiring them to climb 10,000 feet, hike 25 miles and drive 500.
Every penny they raise will go to the Craig Hodgkinson Trust and provide fundamental equipment in sporting venues where such cardiac problems can often present themselves. The defibrillators that the money will buy can (and do) mean the difference between life and death - having this equipment on hand and available is vital to saving lives and preventing other families from experiencing the devastating loss that so many have already had to.
All donations, large and small are greatly appreciated and the money will be put to excellent use. This page will be full of updates and they will let you know how they get on.
Thank you
Jack, Will, Tom, George & George
