I will remember Charlie with a smile on his face and a generosity of spirit that was humbling. He was gregariousness and keen to include people in these moments called Life. He did not seem to want for himself, but rather, he was keener to see joy on the faces of others. I was one of those recipients. To me, he showed the finer attributes of what it means to be human. He will be missed by those he touched.

Dear Charlie, I have many happy memories of times spent at your home and in the market with you and your family. I enjoyed chatting with you whenever I came round and will always remember your generosity and laughter and how you treated me as one of the family. You were a good man and a good friend who will be missed, but remembered for what you gave.

I will always remember Charlie with a smile on his face. He was one of the most generous, positive, and friendly people i've ever met. His gift was making people feel at ease, with his warm welcome and kindness. He always had a very big heart and capacity to make friends with everyone. I remember him talking to me about the love he has for his girls. They meant everything to him. I am really blessed to have known such a wonderful person, and i can still see him smiling over us while he is with God, waiting, for the time when we will all see him again. Thanks Charlie for your friendship, for bringing up two wonderful daughters, and just for being you!

It was a real pleasure to have met Charlie. In a short space of time, he made a big impact. His ability to put people at ease was a gift. He was kind and generous with a great sense of humour. It's hard to put into words what Charlie was like but he was unique, a one off.

The Gift of Hope fund and this little page in dedication of Uncle Charlie is a lovely gesture to help remember a wonderful man. Although I can only offer a small amount, I hope that many others will also add as much as possible to this worthy cause but more importantly add their input to help Gliria collate as many memories as she would hope for. Our families always spent a lot of time together during celebrations and particularly memorable are the summer holidays in Ayia Napa. It was during those times whilst we were growing up that the friendship between our parents evolved. Uncle Charlie and my father particularly became good friends and the friendship grew into a solid one. We shared many humourous meals during the years! What comes to mind are six crazy women cackling with laughter and two men at either side of the table looking on in what can only be described as passive bemusement. This became a typical family occasion :)But the meals were always great! As a host, Uncle Charlie was always very warm and ready to make you eat, drink and be merry. He definitely had the ability to make people feel at ease and generally happy and peaceful. I guess for me the thing that stands out the most and what I will always remember is his genuinely lovely smile and kind hearted nature which filled the room. Kika
