Ian Morrison

Welcome to this Gift of Hope Heart Fund which has been set up in memory of Ian Ogilvy Morrison, formerly of the National Museums of Scotland, a keen photographer and walker. Despite his healthy lifestyle and long-term vegetarian diet, he died aged only 55 of a heart attack while visiting Colorado in September 2006. In 1971 his father Thomas Morrison had similarly died of a heart attack at age 60 while playing golf. This fund has been set up to raise money for the British Heart Foundation to help them in their fight against heart disease, in the hope that fewer families will have to suffer the heartbreak of loved ones setting out to do normal everyday things and then never coming home again.

A great loss. You will be missed Ian.

Mr Bruce Royan

Ian worked for me on SCRAN for a number of years in the late 90s. His pragmatic approach and his quiet humour will be sorely missed.

What a wonderful idea! I'm sure Ian would approve.
