Karen Pitchford

My sister Karen died on 13th January 2018 of an undiagnosed heart arrhythmia.

She worked in the Pharmacy Law and Ethics department of Aston University and was the greatest human being I've ever met. I miss her terribly and would like to raise funds so other people do not have to go through what my family and friends have been through.

Karen died of a bradyarrhythmia - an abnormally slow heart rate which often occurs at night. The BHF are funding vital research to find out why this happens and how best to treat the arrhythmia. You can read about one such case here.

I'd like to help so will be raising money with this in mind.

Karen has already left a legacy by helping countless students become pharmacists and by encouraging us all to be better people… but it would be nice if we can stop this cruel disease.

Thank you.
