Ken Fennell

Welcome to the Gift of Hope Heart Fund which has been set up in memory of my grandfather, Ken Fennell. My grandfather was passionate about sport. He was member of the Great Britain water polo team in the 1950's, and always used to watch me in my swimming gala's when I was young. He was also an Eton Manor boy and a member of the Federation of Boys clubs.

My grandfather was only 58 when he died from the last of several heart attacks. In his final years he had offered to be a guinea pig for new experimental drugs to help his condition. My grandmother was warned by his doctor 'they will not make his life longer, only better' and it was true. In the last years of his life it had become impossible for my grandfather to even to take the stairs at home. But following these new drugs he recovered enough to referee water polo and to walk and climb stairs again... a major thing!!!

This fund is my pledge to support the work of the British Heart Foundation to help them in their fight against heart disease, and to help more people suffering from heart conditions to live longer and live better.

Please join me and make an online donation if you can. Thank you.
