Mr Ian Westwood

Shocked and saddened having heard of Lyn's passing to-day. Worked tirelessly to improve the lot of police officers as Federation Gen Secretary but I will remember him as a mentor, friend, golfing partner and drinking buddy (oh! how we set the world to rights with a glass or 3 of Châteauneuf-du-Pape!). Deepest condolences to his family.

Mr Charles McIlwrick

Lyn was a very good friend and colleague for many years at Brixton Police Station as well as through my years with The Federation. He was a mean golfer, beating me many times but I do remember beating him twice in one day when we were away for Conference. He will be sadly missed by many. Charles McIlwrick MBE
