Max Houghton

This Gift of Hope fund has been set up in memory of Max Houghton.Max sadly left us on the 24th of January 2006, at the young age of 25. He will be remembered and loved by the many people whose lives he touched with his warmth. He was endlessly optomistic, and found a silver lining to every cloud, no matter how dark.He will be remembered by his family as a wonderful father and husband, and by his friends for incredible talents and infinite kindness.Any donations made in his memory will go towards BHF research for children, as per his wife's request. The donation link is at the bottom of this page.No words we can write can do him justice, so here are some of the messages that have been left in his memory:

I didn’t know him, but it makes no difference, it's sad that anyone could be taken at such a young age. This is an upsetting day for the community, I offer my condolences to his wife, friends and family.

This was quite a shock...very sorry for your loss. I didn't know Max very well but still can't believe this. He will be very sorely missed. RIP Max xxx

You will be missed. Really, I didnt know Max too well, but he was always nice with me when I was set out to driving people up the wall and that's a great thing. I'm really sorry for his passing and do hope he finds total peace now and also hope his family and friends might overcome such a loss - I'm pretty sure you'll all see him again someday.

I considered Max to be a friend. I only knew him a short time but I feel priviledged to have known him. This is devastating news. My heart and my thoughts go out to Sarah and her family. Rest in Peace Max mate, you were a star on earth and you'll be a star in heaven, I'll miss you.

Wow, that's quite a shock there. Thought and prayers with his wife, children, and surrounding family and friends. Max was a fantastic member of the sim comunity, and offered so much, inspiring many of us. A very tragic loss, but he will never be forgotten. Rest In Peace Max.

I only knew his creations, but that can say a lot about a person. Goodbye Max. You will live on through your beautiful creations.

That was very sudden - my condolences to his wife and family. He seemed a very happy and social person who made it feel lively around here when he posted. From what I've seen he was also very talented at what he did. I can't even begin to imagine your loss.

I'm so sorry to here this sad news...Sarah, my heartfelt sympathy goes out to you and your family. You are all in my thoughts.

We are all thinking about you Sarah, and the kids. We loved having Max here. We will think about him every day. I am so sorry he left us now.We love you Max xxx

I met Max almost exactly 2 months ago. We became fast friends messaging each other almost everyday. I learned a lot about him and his family. He was a very loving husband and father. Max was a total Sim-A-Holic and just creating and playing the game was a joy to him. He was an inspiration in life and made me smile each time I read a message from him.I will miss him immensely. Sarah my thoughts and prayers are with you and the children. Rest in Peace Max...I love you!!
