Tom Hautot

How would you describe them?

“Tom was an Uncle, a friend, a colleague, a campaigner, a ponderer and above all a thoroughly descent chap.”

What did they love most?

“Tom loved his fishing and was often found fishing the high tide in Twickenham. Tom also had a love for British Vintage Motobikes.”

What will you remember most about them?

“The spectacle of the Thames lapping over the rail and Tom in his wellies was a common sight, Tom touched so many lives and he will be sadly missed.”

I'm so sad that Tom is no longer with us. He was always down at the riverside to chat to and mull things over. His contribution to the riverside campaign should always be remembered. Hope he's catching some big fish up there. Much love x

RIP Uncle Tom you will be missed by all whi knew you xx

I wish I'd known Tom better - but I knew enough to admire him for his campaigning, like him for his courtesy, and love him for his caring attitude to the natural world, especially the fish he caught and then released so gently.
