What will you remember most about them?
There wasn't much not to love - except his snoring. Boy, was it loud! (But what I wouldn't give to hear it again...)
What did they love most?
His family, his friends, music (playing and listening to it), other languages and cultures, his work and making the world a better place.
How would you describe them?
Mark was devoted to love and life. Wherever he went, sunshine followed. He was loved by so many. The world is a darker place without him in it.
Thank you for visiting my Gift of Hope tribute fund. This is a permanent fund in memory of a beloved husband, daddy, son, brother and friend. Mark died suddenly on February 11th 2012, leaving all who knew and loved him in a state of shock and bewilderment. The loss is permanent, the pain indescribable.
I have set up this fund as a way of somehow keeping his memory alive. Knowing that people are donating to a fund that might prevent others from suffering in the way we all have and continue to brings a small amount of comfort. Thank you for donating and for visiting the page. Now the BHF blurb...
Your donation will help raise vital funds for the British Heart Foundation, specifically in relation to heart disease. The BHF is the nation's heart charity, dedicated to saving lives through pioneering research, patient care and by providing vital information. It would be amazing if we could raise lots of money to help them continue their essential work. If you are a UK taxpayer you can add 25% to your donation at no extra cost to you by simply ticking the Gift Aid box when you donate.
With love and gratitude from Lucie and B xx

About A Boy...
Hi, Tonight I have started the Mark Johnston Gift of Hope fund with all the generous donations from Mark's funeral. This is a permanent fund, to which you may wish to donate again in the future. The money will go specifically to research into heart disease and not absorbed into a central BHF machine. Many thanks to those who have already donated separately to the BHF in Mark's name. Specific bequests to The Oxford Heart Appeal will be donated accordingly. Thank you for helping start this wonderful tribute to a very special and courageous man. love, Lucie
Mark. You have gone to a better place, leaving your loved ones behind but one day you will be reunited.God had a different plan for you. Always in my prayers. Denise.

Mark, You were such a top guy, I was lucky enough to have known you through marrying your sister Hazel. I was so proud and honoured to be your BrotherinLaw. Miss you always.

I can't believe you're gone. I'll miss you always. I'll miss your sense of humour and your commonsense, nononsense approach. I'll never forget the time we shared. Rest in peace, Mark. CB.

Absolutely gutted to the back teeth that you've been taken from us. I can't quite believe that I will never see you again. You will always be one of my best friends. Rest well and never stop smiling x
