How your donations help

We are beating heartbreak from heart and circulatory diseases through our vital research, prevention and care.

Last year, we raised more than £158 million. This was all thanks to the efforts of our supporters, as we receive no government funding for our research. With your continued support, we will fund more than half a billion pounds of cardiovascular research between now and 2020 that could save many more lives.

For all our success, there's a lot more still to be done. Heart and circulatory diseases kill 1 in 4 people in the UK, and over half a million people in the UK currently live with heart failure.

Surgery techniques can still be improved. Many babies still struggle with a congenital heart defect. And there are exciting developments in genetics and stem cell technology yet to be found, which could revolutionise the treatment of many heart and circulatory conditions.

With your support we're continuing to fund research that will hopefully make the difference for millions of people in the UK and many more around the world. You can help us keep making breakthroughs by supporting us through a Gift of Hope fund page.
