Today, around 50 people in Scotland will lose their lives to heart and circulatory disease. It doesn’t have to be this way.
For nearly 60 years we’ve been pushing boundaries to change this number. Because it’s not just a number. It represents untold heartbreak for mums, dads, children and friends across Scotland every day. From 3,500 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests in Scotland every year, to 25 babies diagnosed every month with life-threatening heart problems, to mums, dads and grandparents who survive a heart attack or stroke, or endure their daily battles with vascular dementia.
