Alison passed away on 2nd February 2023 aged 81, after a long and wonderful life, eight years after the death of Bob, her husband for 48 years.
A much-loved wife, mother, sister and friend, Alison travelled throughout her life including time living in Sweden, Belgium, Greece and Germany. Bob and Alison returned home to the UK for their retirement years in Whitchurch-on Thames.
She was caring and generous, with such a kind heart. Sadly, a fall in November 2022 caused a hip fracture with resulting complications. We are very grateful to the community health and care services which supported our Mum so well while she fought so hard to recover at home, giving us precious time that we could spend with her.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the funeral service at West Berkshire Crematorium on 1st March, in person and remotely on the webcast. We look forward to welcoming friends and family to our parents' home on 22nd July for a BBQ and gathering to celebrate their lives.
