On Thursday 3rd November 2016, I lost my brother and friend, Kevin. To be taken so suddenly from me, Mum and Dad has been a massive blow. He was a big part of our lives.
We are heartened by the love and support of family, friends, community, and especially Kevin's club Slaughtmanus. Words will never be enough to say how we feel but what we have witnessed of generosity and respect since Kevin's death has been overwhelming and humbling for our family.
Kevin lived life to the full and always made time for anyone. We realise how big a gift he was to the wider community who came to say goodbye and send messages of support locally and from afar.
We are incredibly proud as a family to have called him a son and brother. May his memory live on through those of you who play sport.
We will never forget what you have done for me, Mum and Dad.
In memory of Kevin, we wish to help raising funds for research into undiagnosed inherited heart conditions.
If we could help prevent another family from experiencing the sudden loss of a loved one, it would be a triumph in this time of saddness.
