Steve sadly died suddenly on holiday on 5th July of a heart attack whilst we were celebrating my early retirement so we could spend more time together. I met him over 30 years ago and my life changed. We had 26 happy years together, filled with fun and laughter. He was a very proud father and stepfather to Chris, Craig and Clare. Steve left school on Friday and joined the railway on Monday, he was a train driver with over 42 years experience, he was an active ASLEF trade unionist and an active member of the Labour party. He loved watching his beloved Swans play, home and away with his son Chris. He also loved meeting up with the Jolly Boys every month just to catch up with other retired drivers. He was respected and loved by so many people. He lived life to the full and our lives will be emptier without him.
